The Traditional Siberian Pedigree Cat
Firstly I'll explain where our name PeerieStarn comes from, Peerie Starn is Shetland dialect
for Little Star.
My name is Lesley and I live with my husband Ryan on an Island called Unst which is the
furthest northerly inhabited island in Britain, part of the Shetland Isles.
I have always loved animals, cats in particular as we've had several in our family over
the years. At the moment we have only one cat called Ushka, who is a 4yr old Seal Tabby point Siberian.
Several years ago I did a lot of research into the different cat breeds from around the
world and settled on my favourite of them all, the Siberian. I then got in touch with several breeders
in the Uk and with a lot of careful thought and consideration I finally decided to get my first, Ushka, with a view
to breeding from her at some time in the near future.
We are small hobby breeders and hopefully sometime at the end of this year or into next year Ushka
will have her second litter. Our main aims as breeders are:
